I haven't blogged in forever -- I've been so incredibly busy with finishing my lecture and creative thesis for Bennington (I'm graduating in June!). I also got hired to teach comp classes at
Lone Star College and am looking to teach in a certain low-residency MFA program, hopefully in early 2009. The biggest news, however, is that my manuscript,
Glossolalia, was just named as a finalist for the Alice James Books
2008 Beatrice Hawley Book Award!
I'm going next Saturday to Austin to see my friend and PLR contributing editor Rebecca Wadlinger's stunning full-length play "
No One Else in the Woods Tonight," which will be performed at the Off Center in conjunction with the Humdrum Collective. If you're in/near Austin, come see it!
Last night was the
Gulf Coast/Mary Ruefle reading at the Houston
Museum of Printing History. MR read a mix of nonfiction and poems and put on a great performance. New issues of GC, free beverages, and broadsides all around. Have you checked out MR's newest collection,
Indeed I Was Pleased With the World?
